"I love to work with the human figure. The various poses people make are so expressive and a little nuance in the form can say so much". Studying the figure for many years in life drawing classes, the goal of many of the initial drawings for the day would be to capture the model with gesture drawings. These would be quick one or two minute poses where there would be little time for details, just enough to though to capture that, that was truly important. This skill is what is so important when doing an event painting. When there is little time to waste with much to do.
